Blocking pesky solicitations and unwanted callers is easier than ever from our mobile app or online portal! 

Blocking Callers from the Mobile App 

Starting from the call detail screen, click on the phone number you'd like to block and select Block Phone Number from the options.

Blocking Callers from the Online Portal 

Once you've clicked into the call detail, left click on the phone number and just click “Block”.

Once a number has been blocked, the blocked caller doesn’t hear a ring. On their phone they will see a message that the User is busy.  Because these calls will be blocked from reaching our system, blocked calls will not appear in your call records. 

Through the app you can manage your Blocked Callers list from the More section, which you can access from the three dots in the top right corner of the app. There you can see a list of all blocked IDs, edit, add, or remove from the list, and even search by Name, Company, or telephone number.

If Ruby hosts your published number, it's important to note that when you use the app or online portal to reroute calls placed to your Ruby number, we won’t be able to block any caller IDs at that point as they will have bypassed our system. If you frequently send your Ruby calls to an outside number like your cellphone or office line, it may be helpful to reach out to the phone provider that hosts those numbers as well!

At this time, it’s not possible to block incoming text messages.

If Ruby does not host your published number, it may also be helpful to reach out to your phone company to block numbers from their end as well so that calls won’t reach you if you often un-forward your published number from Ruby to take calls in your office.
